The Initial Consultation
When you contact us we will arrange to meet you for an initial consultation at the site. Whilst we may offer some design ideas at this meeting, the main purpose is for you to tell us about your own aspirations for the garden, and for us to get a feel for the site and its setting. We will take some photographs of your garden, house and surrounding landscape. We will also assess the soil conditions and permeability, and land drainage characteristics, and might also ask to dig an exploratory hole or two.
This is the ideal opportunity to discuss different garden design styles, and to look over some examples of our past work. We will also explain to you how the whole process of designing and building a garden works, from survey and design concept, through construction, to planting and completion. By the end of the meeting you should have a much clearer idea of your garden's potential, and how your aspirations can be turned into reality. The meeting will then be followed up with a written brief and proposal.
Alternatively, if all you want is a simple one-off consultation visit, to help you develop your own ideas for example, then that’s fine, too. Just let us know when you first contact us.
