Design Concept
Once the survey is available, we will start work to develop the conceptual design for the garden, based on the agreed brief. This stage involves an intensive creative effort, combining aesthetic design principles, practical considerations, your aspirations, and the attributes of your house and the surrounding landscape. This is typically an evolutionary process involving lots of sketches of different ideas, and we will often create many images that are never intended to be seen by anyone other than us, before refining the best ideas and arriving at the conceptual design we ultimately present to you.
Once we are happy with the conceptual design for the garden, we will then prepare plans, section elevations, mood boards and hand drawn perspectives as appropriate, to give you a clear understanding of how the finished garden will look. We will arrange a meeting to present these drawings to you, when we can also discuss any questions that may arise from the design and advise on likely costs and how to get the garden built.
